Dog Sled Adventures

Travel at the speed of dog on a snow sled pulled by 10 Alaskan huskies. In operation since 1979, Jeff and his crew can handle families or groups of any size, ranging in age from babies to eighties.

Your sled will carve powder and catch air as you fly through the woods of the Stillwater State Forest. There's a good chance you'll see signs of rare wildlife ... or even a wild critter in the flesh and fur. After your ride, you can warm your toes by the fire in the cabin, sip hot cocoa, and munch on homemade cookies.

Dog Sled Adventures is located 20 miles north of Whitefish, Montana off US highway 93 North. Specific directions will be given at time of reservations. 406-881-BARK (2275)

Local Knowledge & Certifications/Training

Jeff Ulsamer began mushing and giving dog sled tours in 1979 with dogs he had rescued from the local animal shelter. He saved many Huskies giving them a job, a hot meal and a loving home. He refers to his dogs as Alaskan Huskies, which are really a mixed breed selected for personality, endurance, speed and health.
