One of Kalispell's best-loved traditions, Picnic in the Park concerts take place every Tuesday evening (7 to 9pm) and Wednesday lunch hour (11:30am to 1:30pm) through the third week of August. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, and sit back and enjoy the music! A variety of food vendors line up in the park and there are restaurants nearby.

the best travel advice comes from the people who live here
My most joyful times are spent hiking in the mountains or playing on the lake with family and friends. I love being part of the vibrant Kalispell community with all the cultural, historical, educational and healthful living amenities it offers. Excellent food is important to me and I rarely turn down a glass of well-made wine or beer.
I am a curious traveler. It's important to me to have some understanding of the context of places I visit: the people, history, culture, fauna and geography.
My grandparents arrived in the Flathead Valley in the early 1920's and farmed in the Creston area. I grew up in an active family that embraced the Montana outdoor lifestyle. My dad knew just about every person, nook, cranny and backroad for miles around. My mom was adept at identifying wildflowers, plants, birds and animals and had a deep love for the woods and mountains. They came from a generation that required almost absolute self-sufficiency for survival in Montana. I can claim only a small share of their knowledge, but I inherited their deep love for this place and the sense of stewardship they felt. My husband and I are longtime restaurateurs in the valley. I'm also the Travel Counselor at the Kalispell Convention and Visitor Bureau and thoroughly enjoy sharing the magic of Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley with everyone.
