Lillian Lake

There are many lakes in the Kootenay region but one of our favourites for practicing your roll or trying to stand up paddle board for the first time is Lillian Lake. It is warm enough to swim all summer long and has a beautiful rocky/ sandy bottom. It is big enough to see lots of action without getting over crowded but small enough to keep motor boats and wind away. If you have not tried stand up paddle boarding before this is the place to try it. No wind, no waves and falling in is a laugh as opposed to an hour long hot chocolate break!
